Siddikur wins Paragon Open by seven strokes

Bangladesh's premier golfer Siddikur Rahman won the 7th Paragon Professional Golf Tournament and grabbed a paycheque of Taka 1.3 lakh taka at the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) on Tuesday. 

Siddikur played five-under-par (208) to win by seven shots over Dulal Hossain and Zakir Uzzaman, both ending tied for the second place. 

A total of 78 professional golfers from all over Bangladesh participated in the three-round event along with amateur golfers from the national team and Bangladesh Golf Academy.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Shamim won the amateur event with a score of eight-over-par (221).

Major General Md Zahirul Islam, ndc, psc, vice president of Kurmitola Golf Club, was the chief guest and distributed prizes to the winners. Moshiur Rahman, managing director of Paragon Group, was the special guest at the occasion.
