Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan to play for Karachi in PSL

Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan was picked by the Karachi franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player draft today.

Shakib Al Hasan was selected by Karachi Kings as a Platinum category player during the second round of the draft pick, reports Cricbuzz.

Players placed in the Platinum category will receive $140,000, Diamond players will earn $70,000, Gold will earn $50,000 and Silver will collect $25,000 respectively. 

The format for the player draft of PSL: Each franchise will have a kit of $1.1 million to buy players. A total of 16 players will be picked for each of the five teams. Each of the franchises will have to vie for one icon player from among Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Shane Watson, Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen, who will fetch $200,000.

Shakib Al Hasan will be seen in action at United Arab Emirates from February 4, 2016.
