Bangladesh tennis players Jawad Bhuiyan and M Tushar had to be content with the runners-up trophy in the ITF Asia U-14 Development Championships as the duo suffered a convincing defeat against their Pakistani counterparts in the final of the boy's doubles event at the Sheikh Jamal National Tennis Complex in Ramna on Thursday.

The final ended 6-1, 6-1 in favour of Pakistan's Hamza Roman and Abubakar Talha, who further went on to lift the title of boy's singles event after handing a 7-5, 4-6 and 7-6 defeat to compatriot Roman.

Like Talha, Yan Rong Tzeng of Chinese Taipei also won two crowns in girl's singles and double events today. Tzeng first beat Htay Hyat Myint of Myanmar 6-2 and 6-2 in the girl's singles event and then paired with Yen-Ni Chiang in the girl's doubles final to clinch a comfortable 6-1, 6-1 win over Myanmar's Yon Che Char and Htay Hyat Myint.
