The Socceroos have confirmed that they will be arriving in Bangladesh on November 14 to play a World Cup qualifying match against Bangladesh.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier will be held on November 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

Earlier, media reports said that the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) had security concerns and wanted the match to be played at a neutral venue.

The Socceroos drubbed Bangladesh by five goals to nil on match-day 3 of the second round of the qualifiers at the nib Stadium in Perth on September 3. But they are under pressure after a 2-0 defeat at the hand of Jordan in Amman in their previous World Cup qualifier on October 8.

Bangladesh have 1 point from their qualifiers, while Australia have lost just one match and are at second position with 9 points. Jordan lead Group B with 13 points.
