Shakib rested as Kiwis opt to bat

New Zealand have won the toss and elected to bat first in the fifth and final T20I against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

Bangladesh, who went in with an unchanged squad in the first four matches, made four changes to the squad for today's game. Soumya Sarkar, Shoriful Islam, Shamim Hossain and Taskin Ahmed start as Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mahedi Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin have been rested. 

Both Shakib and Saifuddin are nursing finger injuries. 

Meanwhile, the Kiwis made three changes. Blair Tickner, Hamish Bennett, and the injured Tom Blundell make way for Scott Kuggeleijn, Jacob Duffy and Ben Sears.  

Bangladesh have already bagged the five-match series 3-1 and will look to boost their confidene further with another victory before heading to Oman for the upcoming T20 World Cup next month.
