Chasing a meagre 109 target, Bangladesh openers have made batting look easy on a pitch where the visitors' spinners wreaked havoc against the West Indies in the first innings in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Wednesday.

The Tigers are 58 for one after 14 overs after skipper Tamim Iqbal brought up the fifty for Bangladesh with a reverse sweep off Akeal Hosein. Earlier, fellow opener Najmul Hossain Shanto threw away his wicket while trying to force a maximum off Gudakesh Motie after reaching 20, at a time when the home side were appearing demoralised and going through the motions.

The Tigers' experimentation with the opening slot continued, as yet another new opening pair took centre stage, with Liton Das pushed down the order at number three.
