Series win in South Africa a big sign?

The year 2022 started like a dream for Bangladesh cricket. Having clinched their maiden victory in New Zealand soil – their first in any format in New Zealand – during the historic Test win at Mount Maunganui in January, they secured their first-ever victory against South Africa in South Africa by winning the first ODI. Further history followed as they clinched the ODI series 2-1 with a clinical performance during a dominating nine-wicket win in the third ODI.

Alongside Taskin Ahmed's redemption with the ball, Bangladesh showed consistency in the batting and fielding department. Alongside the four veterans, the collective approach of the youngsters only shows signs of greater things to come in the future.
