Automotive journalism takes a turn for good

Automobile Reporters Forum emerges to bring qualitative change in automotive reporting

To bring a seismic shift in automobile journalism, journalists covering the automobile industry has formed The Automobile Reporters Forum. This first-of-its-kind forum aims to bring a qualitative change in reporting of automotive-related news. The forum also aims to conduct research with a view to the development of the automobile sector of the country.

The organisation made its official debut recently at a restaurant in the capital's Karwan Bazaar. Mizanur Rahman of Awaaz.com.bd and Azad Baig, the online head of The Business Standard, has been elected as the President and General Secretary respectively of the newly formed committee. Mahfuzullah Babu, Senior Reporter at The Business Standard, and Ujjwal A. Ghamez, Chief Reporter of BBarta24.com have been announced as the Vice-Presidents.  

Others on the committee are: Joint General Secretary Alauddin Al Azad Alif (Dainik Prothom Alo), Organising Secretary Rezwan Faiz (ATN News), Treasurer Saiful Islam Shanto (Biztech24.com), Information and Publicity Secretary Shahjalal Rohan (Saradin.news), Organizing Secretary Ghazi Mansoor Aziz (Daily Alokito Bangladesh), Cultural and Sports Secretary Monirul Islam Moni (Mohana TV) and Education and Research Secretary Sajedur Rahman (Daily Notun Somoy).  

Other members of the organisation were also present at the event.
