ChatGPT's Android app coming next week

Users can now pre-register for the ChatGPT Android app on Google Play Store, with the official release slated to be next week.

OpenAI has recently announced that they are launching the Android version of the popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT. Users can now pre-register for the ChatGPT Android app on Google Play Store, with the official release slated to be next week.

OpenAI released the iOS version of ChatGPT back in May this year, with users immediately being able to download the app from the Apple App Store. Since then, OpenAI has stated that an Android version would be coming soon. While the announcement has now been made, the company has not yet explicitly mentioned when in the "next week" the Android version will be released.

Despite ChatGPT being an essential tool in many modern workplaces, reports from global market insights providers such as Sensor Tower and Similarweb stated that last month, ChatGPT faced user decline for the first time since it was launched in November 2022. There have also been recent complaints from users worldwide about GPT-4 giving slower and worse responses over time.

GPT-4 is currently being used in ChatGPT Plus, the premium version of the chatbot, while the free version still only gives access to GPT 3.5.
