Google introduces Dark Web report feature in India

Google is rolling out its Dark Web Report feature to a select group of users in India, marking an expansion beyond its initial availability only to users in the United States.

However, this feature will be exclusively offered to Google One subscribers within India.

Google's latest feature is purpose-built to empower users with the means to safeguard their personal data from the dangers of the dark web.

The Dark Web Report feature from Google allows users to proactively monitor any potential breaches of their sensitive information, encompassing data such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses.

To increase the security measures for its Google One subscribers, the Dark Web Report feature promptly notifies users if their data gets compromised or surfaces on the dark web.

To avail this feature, users are asked to create a specialised profile where they can choose the information they want to monitor. In case any specified data appears on the dark web, Google will promptly alert the user.
