iPhone 15 to be released officially on September 12

Apple has officially announced its annual event, scheduled for 12 September at Apple Park. The invitation, titled 'Wonderlust,' indicates that the company plans to unveil its iPhone 15 series, among other products.

The event will be live-streamed on Apple's website, its official YouTube channel and via the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

The iPhone 15 series is expected to include four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumoured to feature a periscope camera.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be powered by the A17 Bionic processor, while the A16 Bionic processor is expected to power the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

Apple is also rumoured to introduce a new action button for quick access to certain features and apps. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to have a 48-megapixel main camera. All models in the iPhone 15 series are speculated to come with the Dynamic Island, a feature previously exclusive to Pro variants.

In addition to the iPhone, Apple is expected to unveil two new models of the Apple Watch: a second-generation Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple Watch Series 9.

The event is also expected to announce the rollout date for iOS 17, along with other operating system updates for Apple devices.
