Tk 97 lakh embezzled through 'Binimoy' platform

The CID has arrested three members of a fraud gang for embezzling around Tk 97 lakh using Bangladesh Bank's recently launched 'Binimoy' platform,  an Interoperable Digital Transaction Platform (IDTP).

A team from the Financial Crimes department of CID arrested the perpetrators from Bogra on Wednesday. 

CID Chief and Additional IGP Mohammad Ali Mia informed the news to the media at a press conference held at his office in Mailbagh on Thursday afternoon.

According to the CID, the case is now under investigation.
