Many companies are now investing heavily in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) or even in developing their own AI, and to do that they are cutting costs with restructuring and downsizing.

Automation and AI are also playing a role in replacing human employees. As AI and other forms of automation have become more advanced, they are increasingly able to replace human workers in a variety of roles. This creates a challenge for human resource (HR) managers to manage the workforce and ensure that their needs are met while also using the power of AI.

To face these challenges and explore more about AI and its effect in the HR world, BUP Human Resource and Leadership Club will organise the AdventHR 2.0, an HR strategy-based case competition.

The AdventHR 2.0 wants to explore the effects of large-scale layoffs and AI on human resources and discover ways to effectively manage HR in this challenging environment through three rounds - "Ideation" which would require participants to present creative ideas, "Innovation" which is designed to put innovative ideas to test, and "Implication" which will allow participants to actualise their ideas in front of the HR professionals.

The registration window will remain open till March 1 for undergraduate students. The best three teams will win prizes of a total of Tk1 lakh.
