US-Bangla secures 5th place among South Asian airlines

US-Bangla Airlines secured 5th position among South Asian airlines in the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2023.

The Skytrax World Airline Star Rating, initiated in 1999, serves as a prestigious and long-standing mark of excellence, setting a global benchmark for airline quality.

This distinction is awarded through a rigorous evaluation and analysis of an airline's product offerings and front-line service standards by professional auditors, the airlines said in a press release.

The airline star ratings, assigned by the Audit Office, reflect an airline's quality standards, with typical rating values ranging from 500 to 800 based on comprehensive assessments of product and service evaluations.

The evaluation encompasses both airport services and onboard standards across all applicable cabins and aircraft.

Skytrax, renowned for its worldwide recognition of airline service and quality since 1999, distinguishes itself by not requiring airlines to submit applications or pay any fees for consideration.

This achievement by US-Bangla Airlines in the global aviation arena will further elevate Bangladesh's standing in the aviation sector.

Winning airlines are not obligated to cover any expenses related to the award event. It is for these reasons that the Skytrax World Airline Awards have earned the moniker of the "Oscars of the aviation industry" across various categories.
