‘Stars Wars’ original series ‘Ahsoka’ trailer released

Helmed by Disney+, the new addition to the "Star Wars" franchise titled "Ahsoka" recently gave the audience a glimpse into the "Star Wars" universe after the fall of the Galactic empire. The streaming platform shared the trailer for the eight-episode-long "Star Wars" original series on social media.

Disney+ captioned on its post, "Once a rebel, always a rebel. Watch the brand-new trailer and experience the two-episode series premiere of Ahsoka, a Star Wars Original series, streaming August 23 on."

The trailer portrays Jedi knight Ahsoka fighting off a new rising threat after the fall of the Galactic Empire—the forces of Grand Admiral Thrawn who wishes to return as the heir to the fallen empire.

Directed by Dave Filoni, "Ahsoka" stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Wes Chatham, Hayden Christensen, Lars Mikkelsen, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead among others. The series is expected to be released this August 23.
