2 die with Covid-19 symptoms at Cumilla Medical College Hospital

Two persons died with coronavirus-like symptoms at the intensive care unit of Cumilla Medical College Hospital in the last 24 hours.

The deceased are Suraiya Akter (19) of Natopara Belghor Bazar in Sadar South Cumilla and Abdur Rahim (60) of Paschimgaon Laksham of Cumilla.

They were admitted with breathing problemsand chest pain yesterday, our Cumilla correspondent reports, quoting Dr Istiaque, assistant surgeon at the hospital.

With these, a total of 180 patients died at the Covid-19 unit. Of them, 151 passed away showing coronavirus-like symptoms and 29 died after being Covid-19 positive since April.

According to the hospital, 29 new patients, including the two deceased, were admitted at the coronavirus unit of the hospital in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today. Of them, 22 were discharged.

Currently, there are a total of 132 patientsat the Covid-19 unit.Thirty-six of them are confirmed coronavirus positive and 96 are symptomatic.
