42 police officials transferred out of Cox’s Bazar
Forty-two police officials posted in Cox's Bazar have been transferred out of the district.
The transferred officials include 34 police inspectors, one superintendent of police, three additional SPs, one senior assistant superintendent of police, and three assistant SPs.
The recent transfers came in three stages, which police sources say have been part of route reshuffle in the police administration.
On August 16, SP ABM Masud Hossain of Cox's Bazar was transferred to Rajshahi. Then on September 21 three additional SPs, one senior assistant superintendent of police, and three assistant SPs were transferred.
Finally on September 23, the 34 police inspectors were transferred, according to a notification signed by Additional IGP Dr Md Moinur Rahman Chowdhury issued in this regard yesterday.
The transferred inspectors were asked to take release order from their current workplaces by September 29 and be present at a scheduled briefing at Rajarbagh Police Lines in Dhaka at around 10:00am the next day, the notification added.
