6 houses of Tabligh Jamaat members locked down in Savar
Six houses of Tabligh Jamaat members who returned to Dhaka's Savar from Sylhet were placed under lockdown today to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Confirming the matter to The Daily Star, Saver Model Police Station Officer in-charge AFM Sayeed said seven Tabligh Jamaat members returned yesterday but did not inform local police.
Some locals led by local ward councilor Mukta hung red flags on the gates of the houses in Savar municipality area, our local correspondent reports quoting Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-charge AFM Sayed.
All of the family members have been asked to stay in home quarantine for 14 days, the OC said.
