Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have arrested a member of the banned militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team in a drive that was carried out at Rajuk Uttara Housing Project today.

The arrestee Muhib Mushfik Khan, 19, is an online financer of the banned militant outfit, reports a press release of the Rab-2.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at building number 11/D in the housing area between 11:00am and 2:00pm, arrested Muhib and recovered 13 books on extremist ideology, training manual, electronic device and two mobile phones from his possession.

The Rab team, in the press release, claimed to have found evidence of his (Muhib) involvement in providing financial assistance to the militant group.

Muhib was engaged in hatching a plan to go for subversive activities by encouraging other members of the militant organisation through extending the financial assistance, Rab-2 said.
