Alamgir receives Lifetime Achievement Award in the name of Razzak

The Bengal Film and Television Chamber of Commerce (BFTCC) has been acknowledging people from different categories in the film industry for the past three years. This year, BFTCC introduced Lifetime Achievement Award in the name of Bangladeshi superstar actor Razzak.

For the first time, Alamgir, a renowned actor of Bangladesh received this award on May 1, 2018, at a five star hotel in Kolkata. Alamgir went to Kolkata to attend the glam ceremony and to receive the award in person.

Biplab Chakraborty, editor of the organisation, tells The Daily Star, “Nayak Razzak may not be here with us anymore, but his work will be alive as long as Bengal Film Industry exists. This year, in his memory, we decided to honour another very popular Bangladeshi actor, Alamgir.“

Previously, actors Ranjit Mallick and Tarun Majumdar received this Lifetime Achievement Award.
