Jyoti bags role in short film at SRFTI

Jyotika Jyoti has bagged a leading role in a short film, to be produced by the prestigious Satyajit Roy Film and Television Institute (SRFTI). This is the first time a Bangladeshi actress is working in an SRFTI project. 

Titash Zia, who won the National Film Award for “Mrittika Maya” (2013), will be seen opposite Jyoti in the film, named “Faaki”. Nazmus Sakib Himel, a Bangladeshi director studying at SRFTI, is helming the project. 

“It's a massive opportunity for me,” Jyoti told The Daily Star, informing that the shooting for the film will be held from November 2-6, in Kolkata. She also hoped of putting her best foot forward for it.
