RUPCHANDA-THE DAILY STAR SUPER CHEF

En-route to the Super Chef kitchen

Your favourite cooking show, Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef, returns with yet another thrilling episode of its third season today. Four episodes have gone by, and 12 aprons have been given. There are only six aprons left to be handed out before we move on to the prestigious Super Chef kitchen, where chefs from the world over will come to give the contestants the experience of a lifetime.
Contestants hard at work for a coveted apron.

In the previous episodes, Khaled Rabbani, one of the youngest contestants, won an apron as he walked in first to the judges. Upon coming back from the judgment room, Khaled did not hesitate to call his parents and give them a reason to be proud. Runa Laila, a quiet woman from Kushtia, combined protein and protein to make her 'prawn-chicken' to win over the judges hearts. Daugher of last year's contestant Latifa Akhter came to replace her mother in the competition this year, but unfortunately could not cook up to the mark. Fatema Abedin, a chirpy, spunky journalist by profession, then snagged away an apron as she got one small step closer to opening her own 'bangla-restaurant'. Along with Iffat Nowshin, Shibani, Sabrina Akter, and some others, went into waiting, as the third episode came to a close.

Masum Ahmed opened the fourth episode, as the former Le Meridian pastry chef won over the 10th apron. Aspiring to be like Gordon Ramsey, young Galib came with high hopes, but soon learned he still had a long way to go. Zahid, who was here for the first two seasons, and had also gone to the Super Chef kitchen in the second season, returned once again. Heartbroken, Zahid had to leave empty-handed, with no apron this time. Another gem of a find was Mamun Chowdhury, who works in the home of the Australian High Commissioner currently residing in Bangladesh. Mamun's boss' wife, a former Masterchef Australia contestant, is his main inspiration when it comes to cooking, and he did her proud by winning the judges over and grabbing an apron for himself. Lovely Yeasmin was the last receive an apron, while Moushumi Akhter, Ruma and Hasina Irfan went into waiting.

Today, the participants who have been waiting to see what their fate holds for them will be cooking one last time before we step inside the grand Super Chef Kitchen. Six more aprons will be handed out tonight, as the participants in waiting are given an ingredient to cook with by the judges, within a limited amount of time. The top six dishes will go to the Super Chef Kitchen as a part of the top 18 Super Chefs. And in tomorrow's episode- we go to the Super Chef Kitchen! To catch all the drama, the tension, the hype and of course witness some brilliant cooking, tune into ntv every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm.
