Lux Super Star 2018 dazzles as Mim Mantasha takes the Crown

If there is one pageant that never fails to capture the attention of the people around the country, it is  Channel i presents Lux Super Star. In an exquisite display of grandeur and elegance on the grand finale of this year's event, Mim Mantasha became the winner of Lux Super Star 2018, surpassing finalists Sarwat Ajad Brishti and Samia Athoi.

Organised jointly by Lux and Channel i, the spectacular grand finale of the competition's 9th season was broadcasted live on May 11 at 7:30 pm. The presence of the country's most popular celebrities added to the grandeur of the event, alongside an estimate of one thousand guests at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center. The top five contestants- Nabila Afrose, Sarwat Azad Brishti, Mim Mantasha, Ishrat Zaheen and Samia Othoi blew the audience away with their performances on stage. As an added bonus, the judges Sadia Islam Mou, Arifin Shuvoo and Tahsan Khan graced the stage with their performance and lifted the contestants' morale. Moreover, guest judges Aly Zaker, Hon'ble Minister of Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor, MP and actor Ishita made the already star-studded event even more glorious.

Previous winners of the event, Bidya Sinha Mim, Zakia Bari Mamo and Mehzabien Chowdhury made a moment worth framing by performing together for the first time, and there were more from previous Lux stars Nazifa, Supriya, Swarna, Heera and Samia. Nemesis's frontman, Md Zohad Reza Chowdhury also made a surprise appearance at the gala, entertaining the audience with his powerful voice.

The spirit of Channel i presents Lux Super Star 2018 maintained that a girl is not just a pretty face. She is defined by her talent, confidence, diligence and determination. Mim Mantasha became the winner by showcasing these qualities and earning the respect of both the judges and the audience. Having started her journey in January, she withstood a rigorous search of over five months alongside many talented contestants discovered by the competition, who were chosen among thousands of applications. The competition proved once again that it is one of the most must-see pageants in Bangladesh!
