Two-day cultural show marking Amar Ekushey

Bangladesh Sangeet Sangathan Sammonoy Parishad Mymensingh( BSSSPM) unit, a new platform of music groups, organised a two-day cultural programme marking Amar Ekushey.

The programme titled “Bhasha O Desher Gaan”, concluded on Tuesday night at Town Hall Shaheed Minar premises. Artistes from different cultural organisations performed songs and poetry.

Nazrul Academy, Novice Foundation, Raga Ragini Shilpi Goshthi, Ranger Baul, Chhayanat Sangskritik Sangstha, Sur Taal Loy Sangeet Bidhalaya, Ujjal Sangeet Biddalaya, Rangchita Sangskritik Academy, Charoibiti,and Sandipon Sangskritik Sangstha took part  in the cultural show.

Earlier, veteran jatra artiste Gouranga Aditya inaugurated the programme.

Among others, coordinator of the parishad Mahbub Hossain Sharif, Nazrul Academy director Subir Dhar Bilu, president of Mymensingh Theatre Federation Shahadat Hossain Khan Hilu and Novice Foundation chairman Rezaul Karim Aslam addressed the opening ceremony.

The cultural show, the first of its kind here, will be organised by the parishad on February 1 and February 2 every year.
