Bangladeshi films are the highlight
London- based Rainbow Film Society organises regular film screenings, annual film festivals targeted at the local population and training for local community people. Rainbow Film Society now celebrates its 25th year.
To celebrate this important milestone, a year long programme will run throughout 2016. One of the major attractions is the 17th edition of the Rainbow Film Festival which opens on May 29, says a press release. The focus of the festival is on Bangladeshi films.
The first film of the day is “Krishnopokkho”. In the days to follow, there will be screenings of “Bachelor”, “3rd Person Singular Number”, “Shimana Periye” (Across the Fringe), “Guerilla”, “Gohine Shobdo” (Dark Resonance) , “Ghasful”, “Khelaghor” (Dollhouse), “Lal Chor” (The Red Sand), “Uttorer Sur”, “Noyon Moni”and “Jalaler Golpo.”
