Maradona to be subject of documentary

A documentary is in the works for legendary Argentinean footballer Diego Maradona.

To be directed by the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind "Amy," Asif Kapadia, the documentary will examine the life of the football player who enjoyed god-like status.

The film will feature never-before-seen footage from Maradona's personal archive and focus heavily on his glory days at Italian soccer club Napoli.

Kapadia's documentary of Amy Winehouse holds the title of highest-grossing British documentary of all time at the UK box office.
