Debut trailer for "Ice Age: Collision Course"
A first official trailer for "Ice Age: Collision Course" film has landed and fans of the franchise may experience a bit of déjà vu.
That extra-terrestrial adventure is presented in the movie's December official trailer which, at two and a half minutes long, is a condensed version of November's 5 minute animated short "Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe."
"Ice Age: Collision Course" is to release on July 22, 2016; many European and South American territories are to begin screening the feature a week prior to the US date.
Audiences can expect to see Scrat, voiced by the movies' executive producer and original director Chris Wedge, team up again with friends Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo), Diego (Denis Leary), Ellie (Queen Latifa) and co, this time in order to find a suitable new home for the hotchpotch herd.
The franchise has earnt $2.8bn in international box office revenue to date, with its fourth film, 2012's "Ice Age: Continental Drift," accruing $877m and three Annie Award nominations.
"Cosmic Scrat-tatstrophe" was previously shown in front of theatrical screenings for Blue Sky's other 2015 release, "The Peanuts Movie."
