New 'Batman v Superman' trailer released
A new trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” debuted Wednesday night, courtesy of Ben Affleck and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Affleck stopped by the late-night show to share the new clip, which features the duo's civilian alter egos, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, interacting for the first time. The trailer also features the debut of DC Comics villain Doomsday, a Kryptonian villain who, in the comics, was responsible for killing Superman. This epic foe seems to be the catalyst that brings Superman, Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman together.
The trailer also features a good deal of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.
A new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” teaser trailer had debuted Monday during Fox's “Gotham,” showing a powerful confrontation between Affleck's Dark Knight and Henry Cavill's Man of Steel.
The first full “Batman v Superman” trailer debuted in April after being leaked online.
“Batman v Superman” also stars Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), and Holly Hunter (Senator Fisher), and will feature the big-screen debut of Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman ahead of the characters' standalone films, as well as two planned “Justice League” films.
Zack Snyder directed “Batman v Superman” from Chris Terrio's script, based on a story by Snyder and David S. Goyer.
