Noted artiste Ferdous has won the hearts of the masses with his charm over the years. The celebrated actor has garnered an extensive fan base through his prominence in films in Bangladesh and beyond. Besides preparing for a trip to London to shoot a feature film, he recently celebrated his birthday. We caught up with the actor to talk about his future endeavours and more.

How did you spend Eid-ul-Fitr this year?

My Eid-ul-Fitr was fantastic, as I got to spend some quality time with my family. I had lunch with my wife and kids at home and my mother invited us over for dinner.

Here’s wishing you a belated happy birthday. What were your plans for the day?

As this year my birthday was on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr, we did not celebrate it in a grand way. Nevertheless, I was very happy. My close friends came over to surprise me on the night before my birthday and my mother and mother-in-law brought a cake for me on the occasion.

Tell us a little about your upcoming films.

On the 15th of this month, I will be heading to London for ten days to shoot the film, Jodi Arektu Shomoy Petam. My family will also be with me. Besides working on the film, I hope to visit some beautiful locations in London with them. After I come back, I will shoot parts of the film, Gangchill, in Noakhali. I also have to complete some work for Jam. Apart from those projects, I am excited to work on the films, Save Life and Chottola Express.

Have you been keeping up with the ICC Cricket World Cup?

Of course. I hope to catch a match of Bangladesh in London. I have complete faith in our cricketers and I wish them the best of luck.
