It's True!
After six Academy Awards nominations, Kate Winslet finally netted the Oscar in 2009 for “The Reader”, winning Best Actress. After much thought, Winslet decided the optimal place for the coveted award to reside would be in her bathroom. In an interview with WSJ Magazine, she made a very compelling argument as to why that's the best place for the award. “The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, 'I'd like to thank my son and my dad'—and you can always tell when someone has, because they're in there a little bit longer after they flushed,” Winslet said. “They'll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It's hysterical.”
