Bannya recovering from broken hand
Celebrated Rabindra Sangeet artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya is recovering from an accident, in which she suffered from a broken hand. The incident happened on January 16, right after her organisation Shurer Dhara hosted a two-day Poush Utshab at the Lalmatia Housing Society School premises.
Bannya fell off the stairs at her house and the impact broke her right hand on January 16, the artiste told The Daily Star. She also informed that she underwent surgery on January 17 at the capital's Square Hospital, in which metal plates were placed in her hands. “It will take me at least six weeks to recover,” Bannya said. “Life has become quite difficult since the accident, since it's my right hand,” she added.
Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya sought prayers and good wishes from her fans and well-wishers for a speedy recovery.
