Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organising an evening of recitation, songs and talk in a programme titled “Aninditar Thakurdar Jhuli” by Anindita Kazi at 6:30pm today at the IGCC,  Gulshan-1 premises. The programme is a tribute by Anindita Kazi to her grandfather Kazi Nazrul Islam on the occasion of his 117th Birth Anniversary.

Anindita is the daughter of Aniruddha Kazi and granddaughter of Bangladesh's National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. A first class in music from Allahabad University, she was former president of Tara TV, one of the most popular Bangla TV channels of India. Anindita is also a reputed Nazrul singer and elocutionist and has made TV and stage appearances in India, Bangladesh and many countries abroad.
