Janet Jackson's new album to drop this fall
After first announcing plans to release new tunes in April, Janet Jackson has confirmed that she will be dropping an album in the fall.
The as-yet-untitled album is being released jointly with music management company BMG and Jackson's own newly launched record label, Rhythm Nation.
The move makes Jackson the first female, African-American artist to form her own record label.
The new album will be her first since "Discipline" released in 2008 and will also be promoted in a world tour.
