'Obhijan'- Suhrid

Suhrid Swagata, a dynamic musician from Satkhira, Khulna, is set to release his first album, Paap today for Aajob Records. Meanwhile, the record label has uploaded some of the songs on YouTube, among which Obhijan was my personal favourite. 

Arguably, the best part of Obhijan is the simplicity. The melodious acoustic set pieces string together the soothing melody. The lyrics conceived by Shuvashish Roy weaves a perfect balance between intricate and relatable. As a fan of the indie-pop genre that was prevalent during the 90's and the early 2000's, Obhijaan was sort of a throwback for me. Suhrid's voice and style is unique enough to differentiate itself from others, but at the same time fits in a comfortable place in the spectrum of pop musicians today. I would urge readers to buy the entire album and support promising artistes like Suhrid.
