Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne split after 33 years’ marriage

The 67-year-old heavy metal rocker and the 63-year-old co-host of The Talk have broken up after more than 33 years of marriage, reports E! News.

It has been known that the couple mutually agreed that Ozzy would move out of the house temporarily. Also the split has nothing to do with Ozzy's three and a quarter years’ long sobriety. The rocker has been sober for and has not touched drugs or alcohol in that time, says the report in E! News.

Ozzy and Sharon met in the early '70s when he rose to fame with the band Black Sabbath. She later became his manager. The two wed on July 4, 1982 and had three children—Aimee Osbourne, 32, Kelly Osbourne, 31, and Jack Osbourne, 30. The family, minus Aimee, starred on the hit MTV reality show The Osbournes between 2002 and 2005.

It was in 2013 that Ozzy and Sharon started sparking divorce rumors.

"Everything that has been printed in the tabloids has been distorted," Sharon assured fans on The Talk at the time. "There's always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted.", said Sharon.

She made her comments a week after Ozzy wrote on Facebook, "Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing...I'm just trying to be a better person."

He said in the post that he had been "drinking and taking drugs" but that he was 44 days' sober.

"The only thing that's true was the Facebook posting that my husband did on his Facebook where he said he's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half...and that he has been in a very dark place," Sharon said on The Talk.
