“Finding Dory” announces new cast
Ellen DeGeneres brought news of Disney/Pixar's “Finding Nemo” sequel “Finding Dory” to Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Friday evening.
Joined by director Andrew Stanton, co-director Angus MacLane and producer Lindsey Collins, DeGeneres and Co. discussed the sequel's plot, which follow Dory on her quest to reunite with her family. Nemo and Marlin accompany the forgetful fish to “the jewel of Monterey, California” in order to find them.
Diane Keaton plays Dory's mom, Jenny, and Eugene Levy plays her dad, Charlie.
Joining the previously announced cast members are Ed O'Neill, who voices Hank the octopus and Ty Burrell, who voices Bailey the beluga whale. Kaitlin Olson lends her voice to Destiny, a whale shark who thinks she's a whale.
The sequel will pick up shortly after the beloved 2003 original, “Finding Nemo” left off, and will bow in theatres June 17, 2016.
