Poluck's 'Kabitanjali' released on Rabindra Jayanti
On the the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti 'Saregama Bengali' has released a collection of six timeless poems from Rabindranath Tagore, by well known Bangladeshi elocutionist, Samiul Islam Poluck. The performance of 20 minutes and 39 seconds is arranged in the recitation of various episodes of Rabindranath's colourful creative life.
Speaking about the occasion, Poluck said, "The collection, 'Kabitanjali', is my gift to the new generation of children. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore is not just an author for us, but a way of life which helps us find meaning in creativity, aesthetics, philosophy, vision, travel, care, contemplation and all the good things in life. All his poems, paintings and songs that were created over 100 years ago are still relevant to this day."
"Kabitanjali" begins with a text of the letter written to the poet's wife, Mrinalini Devi, addressed to 'Bhai Chhuti', which will give the audience an idea of the simple-beautiful-pure relationship of the poet with his wife.
The collections last offering is the melodious reading of "The Songs Offerings" which will introduce everyone to Rabindranath's multi-dimensional English creation. Poluck's poem has already been published by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Apart from this, there is a single collection of his poetry recitations from Hindustan Records and Saregama, India.
Poluck has received gold medal in Bangladesh National Education Week (Jatiyo Shikkha Soptaho), Bangladesh International fame award (BIFA), Nazrul Sammanna Smarak 2022, special honor from Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, US Embassy, Dhaka.
