Anima Roy’s tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on his death anniversary

As today marks the 78th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Rabindra Sangeet exponent Anima Roy is quite busy preparing for the occasion. The artiste is set to release a music video, singing the bard’s renowned song, Jokhon Porbe Na Mor Payer Chinho. The music arrangement has been done by Prattyush Banerjee from West Bengal.

Anima is rather enthusiastic about her latest music video which will feature the likes of a Zamindar Bari, a rose orchard and other scenic attractions. She mentions that each and every song of Rabindranath Tagore is unique in its own sense and its essence remains eternal through the ages.

The music video will be released on Dhrubo Music Station’s official YouTube channel today. Besides, it will also be available on their website and other music apps from cellular service providers.

Anima further asserts that in order for Rabindranath Tagore’s legacy to flourish, one should not only focus solely on his songs, but also share in his beliefs, values and philosophy of life.

Anima has been serving as the Chairman of the Music department at Jagannath University for the past three years. Despite having a busy schedule year-round, the dedicated artiste is featured in various musical programmes on television from time to time.
