'Bijoy Moshal' to spark spirits
A tribute to Sheikh Fazilatun-nesa Mujib, the wife of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a football tournament titled Bangamata U–19 Women's International Gold Cup, is set to commence on April 22 to May 3 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
A music video and seven telefilms, directed by seven female directors, were made as part of the promotion campaign for the tournament.
The music video, Bijoy Moshal, directed by bfilms, will feature women artistes including the likes of singer Momotaz Begum, MP, Elita, Kona, Porshi, Dola, Kumkum, and female footballers. Jaya Ahsan is the brand ambassador of the tournament. “It was a great experience working with such renowned artistes,” says Ashfaq Uzzaman Bipul, director of bfilms. “We filmed the video for 4 - 5 days at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Cox's Bazar, Tangail and Dhaka.”
Murshed Bipul is the cinematographer, Adit is the music director, and Mehedy Hossain is the executive producer of the music video. The lyricists include Rakib Hasan Rahul and Faisal Roddy. “Through the video, we tried to show hope for a brighter future for the women in sports,” adds Adit. “Women who are successful in their respective fields are featured in the video for it. Everyone was excited during the shoot, and we had a great time. Bipul bhai worked really hard for the video, we are very grateful to him.” The music video is expected to release soon.
