Konal lends voice to international track celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh
Celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh, Spanish music composer Robert Bartha composed the song, titled "Through The Tiger's Eye", featuring ten singers from ten different countries, including Bangladesh, Brazil, Spain, Malta, Sweden and Poland among others. Prominent singer Somnur Monir Konal from Bangladesh lent her voice to the song.
"I feel honoured to be a part of this track," says Konal. "The song is in English. However, there are four lines in Bangla, which are composed and written by me. They aimed to produce something similar to the concert for Bangladesh by George Harrison and Friends. They wanted a local singer to participate in the project, and compose a portion of the song in Bangla."
Konal also said that the track was recorded virtually.
The song, produced by Daniel Seidl, is expected to be released on February 12.
