MINISCOPE begins at Dwip Gallery
As a part of its journey through the existing ecology of contemporary art, 180 Degrees has organised 'Miniscope', an exhibition with small-sized artworks curated by artist and critic Mustafa Zaman. Eminent artist, Professor Abul Barq Alvi and Kanak Chanpa Chakma are scheduled as special guests.
64 artists from all over the country will showcase their creativity at Dwip Gallery with paintings, prints, photographs, and sculptures. “There are many artists, particularly young ones, who prefer to work on a small scale and do not always receive the recognition they deserve,” said Manan Morshed, artist and chairman of 180 Degrees. “The exhibition is our attempt to bring artists who specialise in small art forms to the forefront.” The exhibition opens today with a total of 110 artworks and will run till November 29, daily from 3 pm to 9 pm, except Mondays.
