Tagore, Nazrul remembered in Mymensingh
The artistes of Alokdhara, a cultural organisation in Mymensingh city, performed in a show organised by Mymensingh Press Club at its auditorium on Saturday.
The event was organised to commemorate Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, the most popular bards of Bengali Literature.
The artistes rendered popular songs of the poets, entertaining the audience at the venue.
Earlier, a discussion was held on life and work of the poets.
Writer and columnist Salim Hasan and poet Farid Ahmed Dulal were the discussants at the event, with press club vice-president Md Nowab Ali as the chair.
Sheikh Mohiuddin Ahmmad, secretary of the press club, delivered the welcome speech while club member Mamun Mahfuz anchored the programme.
