“Seeing my fondness for the piano, my father sensed that I was drawn to Western music. Much like he had adopted a name for himself, he changed my name from Dambar Bahadur Budaprithi to Louis Banks. I was 13 then and still not out of school, but the new name gave me a certain confidence that I would make it big in the world of music.”
