Loko Natyadal's 37th anniversary today

Marking the 37th anniversary of Loko Natyadal, a celebration programme, featuring discussion and staging of the play Ratha Jatra will take place at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) at 5pm today.

Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad will attend the event as chief guest while renowned thespian Ataur Rahman and noted playwright Abdus Selim will discuss at the programme, presided over by Liaquat Ali Lucky, DG of BSA.

Following the discussion, the play Ratha Jatra, written by Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Liaquat Ali Lucky, will be staged.    

Founded on July 6, 1981 by Liaquat Ali Lucky, Loko Natyadal continues to excel in bringing traditional and global productions on stage along with developing the trend of Bangla play.
