800th episode of “Amar Chhobi” tonight

A milestone for Channel i's TV series

Channel i's film-related show “Amar Chhobi” will broadcast its 800th episode, a staggering milestone for any television programme in Bangladesh. 

On its landmark episode, today's guest on “Amar Chhobi” is Mahbuba Rahman, the voice artiste behind the country's first full-length 'talkie' film “Mukh O Mukhosh”. 

The first episode of the show aired on January 2, 2002 and has been airing regularly since. Popular mainstream film director AJ Mintu was the guest on the first episode of the show. 

About the show, its host Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi says: “Because of its variety of subjects and innovative planning, the programme has been acclaimed by many quarters, winning a number of awards. It is famed as a non-government archive as a source of information for film industry members.” 

“Amar Chhobi”, planned and directed by Shamim Alam Dipen and Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi, airs Mondays at 6pm.
