Stars busy for Eid
As Eid-ul-Adha nears, the shooting for new special telefilms and fictions get more hectic. The stars, who are ever so busy, have to work extra to finish their projects in time. Shooting houses in Uttara are packed in action during these times, as are villages in Pubail. Ahead of the fantastic shows that we will see on television this Eid, The Daily Star got in touch with some of the top stars in the industry.
Nusrat Imrose Tisha is one of the most beloved faces on television, who is equally popular in both the small and silver screens. She is currently busy shooting for the sequel of the hit Lady Killer, opposite of the very famous actor turned singer Tahsan Khan. Tisha is also hopeful about Bonhi, on the direction of Afsana Mimi. She has also given her schedule to Sagar Jahan, as well as a few other producers.
With her charm and acting prowess, Zakia Bari Mamo has encapsulated the Bangladeshi audience. This Eid, she will be seen in Swarnalata, directed by the award-winning Tauquir Ahmed. Majnu, directed by S A Haque Olike, is also one of the works that she looks forward to. The star is finished with half-a-dozen projects as of yet.
Mehazabien Chowdhury is seldom seen acting in regular television dramas. This Eid, she will be seen in one-hour long dramas or tele-films. She will be seen in many projects, including Sagar Jahan’s Maya Shobar Moto Na.
Aporna Ghose, who is always busy during both Eids, will be seen in a number of projects this time. Shopner Nil Thame, directed by Azizul Hakim, was shot in Rangamati. The actor also shot for another special fiction at Cox’s Bazar, among a myriad of other projects.
Mosharraf Karim is undoubtedly one of the most popular male stars in television today, and arguably has the most packed schedules. He has finished shooting for a seven-part special drama, directed by Shamim Zaman. Chanchal Chowdhury, who is equally as busy, has finished for several special fictions, and has many more surprises this Eid. Both Mosharraf and Chanchal are premiere stars in the television industry at this moment.
Veteran actor Zahid Hasan’s popularity remains the same over the years. This Eid, the actor has been busy directing two special fictions, the name of which have not been finalised yet. Besides, he will also be seen acting in many Eid dramas, including a seven-part special by Adibashi Mizan.
Apurba has always been in high demand during this season, with most of television channels featuring him and his multiple projects. He will remain busy until the very day before Eid, as he continues shooting after he just finished Sagar Jahan’s directorial Tomar Chokher Cheye.
An actor who always reinvents himself is Afran Nisho, who always looks forward to different challenges in his career. This Eid will be no different, as he will present himself in multiple projects and different characters.Shajal will also look to impress, as he comes forth with many television specials, including one by Afsana Mimi that he is hopeful about.
With the heavy-hitters of the industry busy with work – there is a lot to look forward to in the festivities of Eid, so stay in front of your televisions!
