The 8th episode of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef will air tonight. Fresh off the team challenge and the elimination, this episode will demand that the participants are in their best possible mental state. This week, we will see the participants being given yet another mystery box. The main ingredient in the box, though, will be something used every day. In fact, the main ingredient will be so common that it will probably be hard for everyone to come up with something unique. But that is the challenge a Super Chef has to face every day, and that is a challenge that a Super Chef must also pass.

The main component of the dishes will have to be a piece of chicken. Now, chicken can be used to create a variety of dishes indeed, but how many of those dishes can really stand out? There is also the added knowledge that if you prepare the same dish as someone else, the judgement may not also be on your favour. Again, if one tries to do something out of the ordinary, there is every chance that too may backfire. With so many slippery slopes to negotiate, expect plenty more drama from the latest episode of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef.

“Chicken is both the easiest and the hardest ingredient to work with. Its texture, balance with other ingredients and how its served will all have complement each other perfectly,” the judges had explained before the round. Judges Shaheda Yesmin, Chef Tazammul and Tariq Anam Khan will also have their work cut out for them this week. Even for the judges, judging a chicken dish, when everyone uses the same main ingredient, is not going to be easy. Although they have identified three areas to judge on, those alone will not be enough. Ingenuity, taste, presentation will all also play a key role. And each dish has to be judged against all others and that is perhaps going to be the trickiest part.
