Zahid Hasan juggles acting and direction without breaking a sweat
Popular actor Zahid Hasan is passing busy time with Eid TV plays' shooting. He is acting for others' direction, and at the same time, directing his own TV plays.
Zahid is directing three TV plays that will go on air on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He also donned important roles in all the three plays.
“Herogiri” is one of the plays under his direction, which will air on ATN Bangla this Eid. “The spectators will watch me enacting the role of the Hero. The play contains a message as well. Rtv will also air another play, 'Laal Galicha',” said Zahid Hasan. On the other hand, Zahid is directing a play for Banglavision. The title of the play is yet to be settled.
When asked how challenging it is to be acting in the play he is also directing, Zahid tells The Daily Star: “I have been acting for years. I think if you can plan it well, there is no major issue.”
Apart from direction, the actor is busy with shooting for other directors' plays. The shooting for the plays are still going strong. Zahid has donned an important role for six-episode TV series titled “GoNph”. Directed by Rumman Runy, Maasranga Television will air the TV series. Channel i will air a tele-film of his titled “Big Shot”, directed by Arfan Ahmed.
“Doing new, unique characters gives me a sense of satisfaction. For example, I did a role in a play this Eid where my character writes a lot of letters. These are always fun to do,” the actor told The Daily Star.
Beyond the life on screen, Zahid plans to celebrate this Eid-ul-Fitr in Dhaka this year, although he often goes to his hometown Sirajganj to celebrate Eid. “When my parents were alive I would always go to Sirajganj. I won't go this time,” he said.
