Next move after full text of verdict: Prosecution
The prosecution team of August 21, 2004 grenade blast cases will now be waiting for the full text of the verdict before considering its next moves.
We prayed for highest punishment of all, but the court saw it fit to award death to some and life to others, Syed Rezaur Rahman, chief prosecutor of the cases, briefed reporters.
"We will give our reaction on the verdict after analysing the full text of the verdict," he said. "We will also decide on filing an appeal after going through the full text," he added.
A total of 19 people including state minister Lutfozzaman Babar and former deputy minister Abdus Salam Pintu have been sentenced to death over the blast cases. BNP leader Tarique Rahman was awarded life term imprisonment.
