Singer Subir Nandi on life support
Popular singer Subir Nandi was put on life support at the capital's Combined Military Hospi-tal after he suffered a heart attack.
He was taken to the CMH around 11:25pm on Sunday following the heart attack, said hospital sources.
With this, Subir Nandi has suffered heart attack thrice, said family sources.
After his admission, Subir Nandi was kept on a 72-hour observation at the hospital's Critical Care Centre (CCC) and an angiogram would be done to know the condition of his heart, said the sources.
A five-member medical team was constituted for his treatment.
Meanwhile, a dialysis was done on him yesterday.
Subir Nandi won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer five times for his performance in the films Mahanayak (1984), Shuvoda (1986), Srabon Megher Din (1999), Megher Pore Megh (2004) and Mohua Sundori (2015).
He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2019.
